The application of ozone in the treatment of industrial wastewater is very common, including the treatment of phenolic, cyanide-containing and printing and dyeing wastewater. Ozone can make the cyanide salt in the rapid decomposition of cyanide, the reaction is a two-step, the first highly toxic CN- oxidation to CNO-, and then further oxidation to CO2 and N2, can make the toxicity of toxic wastewater reduced by about 100 times. The degradation rate of phenol in the treatment of phenol containing wastewater by ozone is related to the dosage and time of ozone, and the higher the PH value, the faster the reaction and the smaller the ozone consumption. Ozone has the ability to decolorize the dye wastewater, and it can destroy the hair color or auxiliary color genes in the dye to achieve the decolorization effect. An experiment shows that when the chroma is as high as 1800-2500 times and COD is 1100-1800mg/L, under certain conditions, the ozone decolorization rate can reach 99% in 15min, and the COD removal rate is close to 90%. Due to the varying degree of industrial wastewater, the data is generally obtained through tests when calculating the amount of ozone added.
